Time to vote for you favorite bear, Coyotes!
Voting will only be open until September 22 at midnight. Winners will be announced September 29th. Stop by the library to get your free bear button, temporary tattoo, sticker, or bookmark! Prizes will be awarded to all students who pick the winning fat bear and one major prize will be given for the best bracket.

FAT BEAR WEEK IS COMING to HERITAGE!
It’s the most wonderful time of the autumn season: Fat Bear Week! Every fall, Alaska’s Katmai National Park showcases their brown bears as they bulk up on salmon to prepare for winter hibernation. These amazing animals transform from lean fishing machines into magnificent, chunky champions, and fans around the world vote to crown the ultimate plump park icon.
This year, the high school library is bringing the competition right to campus, and we need your help deciding who takes home the crown.
How to Get Involved
Track the Bracket: Stop by the main library display wall to check out the official match-ups, read up on bear bios, and track who advances each round.
Cast Your Vote: Head to the voting station near the circulation desk (or scan the QR codes posted around the library) to submit your ballot.
Pick Up a Playbook: Grab a themed bookmark or join us in the library to create bear themed art.
All the fun activities begin the week of Sept 14th!
The Frisco ISD Battle of the Books Club is officially forming! If you love reading, competing, and proving why movies never live up to the original print, this is your team.
The Competition: We will represent our school in an inter-district showdown against other Frisco high schools to test who knows this year's book list best.
This Year's Theme: Better Than the Movie
When We Meet: This is a curricular club—all meetings will happen conveniently during the regular school day.
Come by to get the official reading list, learn how the competition works, and help us build a winning team!
Welcome back Coyotes to the 2026-2027 school year! Library hours are 8:30am-4:35pm. Students can come before school to do homework, read, relax, etc. Only students with blue passes can visit the library during lunches. Look for signs on the library door to see if it will be open each day. Can't wait to see everyone back for what I know will be a great school year!
