What type of meals should I send for my child?
Sending healthy options in a child's meal is an important part of supporting their development through their day. Ensuring that they can be independent by opening containers with minimal assistance and enabling them to carry their supplies independently by providing containers for breakfast, lunch and snack that all easily fit within a single lunchbox will help prepare your child to be successful for this year and their Kindergarten year.
What size backpack should I send with my child?
A regular sized backpack is perfect! Anything smaller simply will not fit all that we send home on a daily basis, including their daily folder which holds original artwork by your child.
My teacher asked for everything to be labeled, what does that mean?
Please have your child's first name and last initial on their water bottle in a permanent marking, on their blanket in a visible location, on their backpack, on the bag that holds their spare change of clothes inside their backpack, on the outside of their lunchbox, and on the inside of any coats or jackets along with their teacher's name for seasonal wear.
How are birthdays celebrated?
We will acknowledge each child's birthday in the classroom, however, treats are not allowed to be distributed to their classmates.

What skills will help my child be successful in Pre-K?
Pre-K is the age students begin to build their independence. Helping your child learn basic self-help skills such as putting on their coat and backpack, unbuckling their seatbelt, and feeding themselves will help them have a smoother transition to school and feel confident in the classroom.
