The goal of this project is to shine a light on the humans who make up FCS. Our work is to create a space that celebrates their voices, mindsets, and stories—offering inspiration to everyone who visits. Through these intimate interviews, we have learned the value of friendship, community, and safe spaces. Our hope is that the Humans of FCS will help everyone see the beauty of our community as clearly as we do.
Each story reminds us that connection and kindness are at the heart of FCS.

Steve
"Money motivates me every morning. One of my favorite moments at FCS was doing the drone shot where everybody was spelling FCS."
June
"I get up and I think "I'm hungry" and that motivates me each morning."
Emmett
"I wake up at 6 am every morning. I take an ice bath and then work out to get ready for the day. My music (RnB, van halen) motivates me to attempt school. I serve my community by volunteering at culinart. I claim to be a philanthropist and the most modest person I know. I also happen to be the strongest person I know."
Xanthe
"I am a girl who loves art and I would advise someone younger to be curious, not judgmental."
Serafina
"When I was younger I got bullied a lot and there were these kids who also got bullied a lot so I just wanna say, don't let your confidence drop because of what someone says."
Qill
"I love seeing other people make things. I like seeing people discover new things and have creative energy."
Molly
“I’ve learned that it’s really important to be able to rely on their community, like how in winter wonderland everyone works really hard and works together because it would be impossible for just one person to do winter wonderland. I’m very inspired by teacher Al in the upper school because I seem him as a mentor to me because I want to do what he does, and he was the first one to do his job, and he brought it to this school."
Conall
"My favorite FCS memory is singing the geometry song before every test in Mr. Nestor's class. Most people don't know I have been skiing since I was seven."
Sterling
"I am community driven and I love service. My favorite FCS memory was Winter Wonderland 24'. I loved it so much because we played lots of games and I got to hang out with her friends. Some advice I give to younger people is to always try because effort counts."
Garry
"I like when I get to FCS in the early morning when there is peace and quiet. I know the students like a clean hallway so I do it for the kids."
Jordan
"My favorite part about being at FCS is being able to see my friends and hang out with them."
Asher
"What motivates me to get up in the morning is the drive of doing well in school. This year I was happy to learn about Buddhism."
Tyler
"I enjoy playing basketball here at FCS. Something I learned this year is that Judaism is the oldest monotheistic religion. What motivates me to get up in the morning is my mother because she wakes him up in the morning."
Mina
"Something I would tell the younger generation is to study and not procrastinate"
Julian
"What motivates me is having to attend school, so I can go to work and have a good future. If I could give advice to someone, I would tell them not to take their time for granted because life's going to go really fast and you might miss it."
“I would encourage students to try new things out of their comfort zone and looking out for themselves and other people. On school day mornings my motivation is to see all the kids and give out candy and interact with you all. And on other mornings just to find things that feel joyful”
Hamin
“Saying "Hi" to everybody and greeting everybody motivates me to get up in the morning. The person that inspires me the most is my grandmother. My advice for someone younger would be to pay attention and expand your lifestyle.”
