FCS Middle School produces two shows on the Shallcross stage each year!
For both productions, after-school rehearsals are typically held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays until 5:30. ...in the 10 - 12 days leading up to opening night, rehearsals will go later and be on every school-day.
All students are welcome and encouraged to participate, either in the Cast or as members of the Stage Crew!
Participating in the shows does not conflict with participation in Middle School sports (although students will miss three days of Athletics for Dress Rehearsals on the afternoons leading up to Opening Night).
THE FALL MUSICAL:
The Fall 2026 Musical will be Newsies, JR! Performances are Thursday, November 19; Friday, November 20; and Sunday, November 22.
There will be in-person info and Q&A sessions for performers on Thursday, September 10 (from 3:15-4pm) & Friday, September 11 (during Lunch). Students only need to attend one session, when they will also have a chance to learn & practice the audition music.

Students interested in working on Stage Crew will have a separate meeting during the week of Sept 21 (exact date TBD).
In order to participate in Newsies, all involved students and their caregivers will have to review and sign a Community Agreement, which includes sharing any and all known scheduling conflicts. (Community Agreements will be available at the info/Q&A sessions on 9/10 and /11.)
The first rehearsal will be on Tuesday, Sept 22, and will be an ALL-CAST read-through/sing-through.

THE SPRING PLAYS:
Auditions for Playwrights in Progress 2027 will be held in late January. The performance(s) will take place on Friday, April 16th. More detailed information about the audition process and rehearsal schedule for "PiP" will (eventually) be posted here in early January.
