Students will read two books:

1. Thank You for Arguing, Third Edition: What Aristotle, Lincoln, and Homer Simpson Can Teach Us about the Art of Persuasion by Jay Heinrichs (2017)

2. A high-interest nonfiction book of their choosing.

The student-selected text should be a joint decision between the student and parent/ guardian.  Students should consider the reading level and subject matter before selecting a book and discuss their choices with their parent/guardian.
