The six Freehold Regional high schools belong to the New Jersey Interscholastic Athletic Association and are also members of the Shore Conference Organization.
Established in 1918, the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) is a voluntary, non-profit organization comprised of approximately 435 accredited public and non-public high schools. A member of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), the NJSIAA conducts tournaments and crowns champions in 33 sports.
The Shore Conference was established in 1936. It is a voluntary, non-profit organization comprised of 47 accredited public and non-public high schools in Monmouth and Ocean County. It organizes the regular season and conference championships for 29 sports.
