CNHS Week of Respect - October 7-11, 2024
The first week of October is designated as New Jersey’s Week of Respect. New Jersey school districts take this opportunity to recognize the importance of developing and maintaining positive school climates, providing students with a safe and supportive school environment devoid of harassment, intimidation and bullying and encouraging academic success along with increased social and emotional competence.
On Monday, October 7, we are inviting staff and students to wear BLUE.
People wear blue during Week of Respect to show their support against bullying and to advocate for respect:
Color psychology
Blue is a color that many people favor and is often seen as non-threatening, conservative, and traditional. It can also evoke feelings of calmness, relaxation, and stability.
World Day of Bullying Prevention
The first Monday of every October is World Day of Bullying Prevention, and many schools, students, and communities wear blue to show their support against bullying.
Tuesday, October 8 – Wear TIE – DYE to Stand Up and Stand Out!
Wednesday, October 9 – Wear your favorite pajamas or sweatpants to be COMFORTABLE WITH WHO YOU ARE!
Thursday, October 10 – Wear bright colors or neon because RESPECT HELPS US SHINE BRIGHT!
Friday, October 11 – Wear Green or your CNHS shirts because OUR SCHOOL KNOWS RESPECT BEGINS WITH US!
Guidance Road Map – Charting a Course of Excellence in Education
Our District’s Strategic Plan, Compass 2.0, maps priorities and projects in four core areas, Whole Child, Equity & Opportunity, Student Growth and Learning, and Community Partnerships, that support the District mission. The “Whole Child” component of Compass 2.0 outlines the District’s commitment to inspire individual student goals through a safe, healthy, challenging, engaging and supportive learning environment. Based on the American School Counselor Association National Model, Freehold Regional High School District (FRHSD) school counseling programs are collaborative efforts benefiting students, parents, teachers, and the overall community.
Our school counseling program is an integral part of students’ daily educational environment and school counselors are partners in student growth and serve as the students’ advocate. School counselors prioritize supporting students to reach their personal goals in a complex, rapidly changing society through a system of intentional practices, programs, and counseling. The FRHSD Guidance Road Map outlines a comprehensive counseling program organized by grade level highlighting the events, programs, and services offered to students.
