Check these items first:
Is the battery dead?
Plug the Chromebook into a power source and see if it will boot up. **If the battery is completely dead it could take up to 30 minutes until the Chromebook can boot up.**
Did the screen brightness accidentally get lowered?
Press the brightness up button in the top row of the keyboard. **It is the button with the large sun icon on it.**
