Miss Darr

About Miss Darr

Hello Fremont Families!

My name is Lindsay Darr and I am the first grade through fifth grade and Autism transition units speech-language pathologist at Croghan Elementary School.

I have worked as a speech pathologist for Fremont City Schools since 2019. I recently moved back to Fremont (my hometown) from Cleveland, Ohio. I earned my Bachelors Degree from Bowling Green State University in Communication Disorders and Sciences. I earned my Masters Degree from Baldwin Wallace University in Speech Pathology. I am certified clinically competent by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

I believe that all students can learn through the Universal Design for Learning theory; all students can learn with the right supports. My mission is to provide a safe learning environment for students to increase their speech and language skills. I want my students to be able to communicate effectively with peers and adults in the school setting.

Here are some more fun facts about me! I live with my Border Collie dog named Pippa and my cat, Fanny. A fun fact about me is that I have traveled to Lusaka, Zambia with my graduate program. Over the course of a few weeks, my cohort and I worked with local hearing specialists and translators to provide speech therapy services to students in Zambian schools and villages. I also enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and cooking.
