WELCOME TO ENGINEERING & DESIGN!

I teach Engineering & Design to all 6th and 7th graders. My classroom is and energetic, fun filled learning atmosphere! We use laptops, robots, Legos, K’nex pieces, and much more to problem solve, design, build, and code! Click on each course in the menu above to learn more!

I graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I am certified in elementary, middle school math, and middle school science. I also have a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from Duquesne University.

I spent 4 years teaching Math, Science, and keyboarding to 7th graders in Eaton, Ohio (near Dayton). I taught 12 years at Buffalo Elementary and spent the majority of my time there teaching science, but I also taught everything from reading and English, to math and social studies depending on the year! The 2020-2021 school year will be my 7th year at the middle school and my 23rd year of teaching overall! Time flies!

During my first year of teaching in PA, I was selected as a “Pennsylvania State Level Keystone Technology Integrator”. The award recognizes teachers who integrate technology effectively into their classrooms. This was a great honor and has provided me the opportunity to attend and present at several technology conferences. I have continued to keep up with technology and have recently been certified as a Google Level 1 Certified Educator.

I really enjoy teaching. I like to challenge the students, and to make sure that I help them to learn the skills necessary to succeed in school and life!
