Confidentiality Statement

Student and family privacy is very important here at Freeman Public Schools. All information shared with a school counselor will remain confidential UNLESS:

1. A student shares a plan to harm themself.

2. A student shares a plan to harm someone else.

3. A student share that someone else is harming them.

4. A student give me permission to share with another trusted adult such as a parent/guardian, teacher, or administration.

In these situations, we are required by law to report this Information to parents/guardians and/or to the appropriate agencies.
