MATH

In Kindergarten, we use the Bridges in Mathematics program. This program is closely aligned to the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics, in a manner that is rigorous, coherent, engaging, and accessible to all learners. We cover the following math topics:

• rote counting to 110

• number identification in isolation (0-31)

• relating a set of objects to a number

• understanding comparisons - less, more, same

• recognizing, creating, and extending patterns

• understanding simple graphs

• utilizing the calendar as a real world tool

• understanding comparisons of size (smaller, larger, shorter, taller)

• sorting and classifying objects by their attributes

• identifying 2D & 3D shapes

• understanding the concept of addition and subtraction
