Barkalow Band!
Welcome to the Barkalow Band!
The Barkalow Band Program consists of approximately 99 students. Students are divided into band classes by grade level and instrumentation. All band classes meet every other day for 44 minutes. In addition to band class, all students in the Barkalow Band stay after school once a week for a full band rehearsal. Students enrolled in the Barkalow Band will expand their knowledge of music through learning to play woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments. Our months of hard work in class, after school, and home practice culminate in at least two concerts per school year. Throughout the year, students will have the opportunity to go on musical field trips, audition for various honor bands and our district Competition Band, and attend high school music invitationals.
Students are expected to provide their own instruments and various instrument supplies (reeds, neck strap, valve oil, etc.). All instrument rentals should be placed here:
