My story began in the fall of 2007. I was a stay-at-home mom with no intention of joining the workforce, forming a path to starting a career or spending time away from my family. However, one afternoon, I was approached by a local business owner recruiting students for his upcoming class. He asked if I had ever filed my tax return and if I was interested in learning more about tax laws. Not knowing that at that moment my life would be forever changed.

I began taking evening classes. With the same gentleman as my instructor, I excelled quickly, and he offered me a part-time tax preparer position. With my children becoming school-age, I figured working while they were in class and earning a little extra spending money wouldn't hurt. So I accepted his offer. 

By the Winter of 2010, I was his district manager running his south-end store and helping to oversee the other two. I never imagined working more than 40 hours a week and loving my job.

In 2014 we opened Freedom Tax Service, LLC. I started taking more classes and learning as much as I could. In the winter of 2017, my instructor, who later became my mentor and friend, decided it was time to retire. We entered into a purchase agreement and moved the office to Sumner, WA. I spent the next two years educating myself even further and retaining as much of his knowledge as I could.

To this day, I continue love what I do & have began negotiations to open a second location.
