Our goal is to elevate teaching and learning through the meaningful integration of instructional and functional technologies. Technology is integrated into our pedagogy and harnessed as a tool to strengthen the FCPS mission and vision for student success and empowerment.
Blended learning is active, engaged learning online combined with active, engaged learning offline to give students more control over the time, place, and path of their learning. A key aspect of this definition is positioning the students as "active agents" in the lesson or learning experience. (Catlin Tucker)
An Instructional Technology Resource Teacher (ITRT) collaborates with educators, administrators, and staff to integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning. This role includes modeling effective integration of technology into classroom instruction, facilitating professional learning, supporting curriculum development, and supporting innovative and best practices in technology use to enhance student outcomes.

ITRTs are scheduled at elementary and secondary schools, but are also available by appointment. Email your ITRT for instructional support or co-teaching. We are available to help you learn new technology skills, plan, or co-teach!
