Meet the Teacher

Welcome to 5th grade! My name is Amy Young and I will be your child’s 5^th grade Social Studies teacher. After graduating from Thomas Edison State College in 2007, I began my teaching career. Although this is my first year teaching at Caroline L. Reutter School, I worked in my previous district for 17 years. I have experience teaching 1st grade, Special Education grades 2-5, and 5th grade. Teaching 5th grade Social Studies is my favorite! 😊

I live in Newfield with my husband Erik and our 4 children; Shane (10), Kylee (8), Bryce (3), and Sadie (1). When I am not teaching I love going to the beach, cheering on my kids at the baseball field, and spending time with family and friends.

I am really looking forward to working with you and your family this year! Team work makes the dream work, and I am excited to have you on my team!
