Hi! My name is Lindsey Leary and I will be your child's Reading Teacher or Interventionist. 

The goal of the Basic Skills Program and the Tier 2 intervention classroom is to help students improve and build upon their foundational reading skills. My goal, as a Basic Skills Interventionist, is to support and guide my students to help them meet their grade level proficiencies in reading.

Our class will focus on phonics, fluency and comprehension instruction throughout the year. The students have been assessed to help develop a specific learning path for each of them. I am striving to provide targeted lessons specifically to help improve your child's phonics, decoding and reading skills along with teaching them grade level standards. 

Please use the resources provided to help with the reinforcement of phonics skills that will be or have been worked on during our ELA time this year.  

The most important thing you can do at home to improve all of the skills worked on in school is to READ EVERYDAY with your child!!!
