What is morphology?

Morphology is the study of morphemes, the smallest units of a word that have meaning. Different morphemes will change the meaning of a word.  There are 4 types of morphemes: prefix, suffix, Latin bases & Greek Bases. Understanding morphology helps increase vocabulary and comprehension, as well as writing and spelling.
