Meet

Mrs. Hatley

Mrs. Hatley is a dedicated educator who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Elementary Education from William Paterson University. She began her career in education as a mathematics and ELA intervention teacher and went on to become a classroom teacher, spending several years in third and fourth grade.

While teaching, Mrs. Hatley attended Ramapo College and earned a Master of Science in Educational Technology. She eventually switched roles from a classroom teacher to an innovative STEM enrichment teacher in The Discovery Program.

During her time in The Discovery Program, Mrs. Hatley enrolled in classes at Rutgers University and completed the Graduate School of Education Gifted Education Program. In addition to providing full class enrichment through The Discovery Program, Mrs. Hatley provided one-on-one individualized gifted programming, taught Gifted & Talented classes at CRS, HMR, and WAS, provided small group push-in support for gifted and other high-ability learners in first through fifth grade, and has also led The Independent Study Program in all three elementary schools.

Working with the children and families in Franklin Lakes brings Mrs. Hatley great joy! She loves fostering students' ability to investigate, collaborate, communicate, and create through meaningful, innovative, hands-on activities that stretch students' critical thinking while having fun! Mrs. Hatley is very excited to lead The Discovery Program in fourth and fifth grade, Curiosity Corner in 3rd grade, and Gifted and Talented classes this year!
