January Student of the Month

Team 6A

Patsi Diaz Velazquez

Patsi Diaz Velasquez is our January 2020 Student of the Month nominee. She is a pleasure to teach with all of her teachers. She works diligently with all of her classwork, tests, quizzes and homework. She works well independently and in a group, inspiring others to achieve their best on their assignments. Team 6A is very pleased that she is on our team.

Emir Perez

Emir is a wonderful student to have in class. He may not be the most outgoing, but he is a very solid and dependable student. He is well liked by his classmates and all of his teachers. Emir is a very hardworking student, who always strives for improvement. Even when Emir has difficulties with the lesson, he will always ask for help and try his best to improve his understanding of the topic. He is very respectable and always treats people in a calm and friendly manner.

Team 6B

Myles Cherette

Myles Cherette is our January 2020 Student of the Month nominee. He exemplifies what PBSIS promotes for what our students need to aspire to at FMS-HSC. Myles always tries his best, is an excellent student who steps up to help others, comes in with a positive attitude and enjoys working to learn in his classes. We respectfully nominate Myles to be our Student of the Month for Team 6B.

Shalanie Solomon

Shalanie is a very conscious student that gives consistent effort. In class she participates by offering constructive feedback to her peers, and offers meaningful insights during discussions. Outside of the classroom, Shalanie also demonstrates leadership skills, modeling for her classmates to try new things. An example of this was Shalanie’s participation in the school play Grease. We respectfully nominate Shalanie to be our Student of the Month for Team 6B.

Team 7A

Emmanuel Ojeda

“Manny” is an absolute pleasure to have in class. He has a strong and dedicated work ethic and is very well prepared for class. This is Manny’s first year at HSC and his transition has been effortless. Team 7A is thrilled to have him on the team!

Kristin Rodriguez Alcantara

Kristin is an amazing student! Kristin is hard working, polite and motivated. She comes to class every day ready to learn with a smile!

Team 7B

Alvin Rodriguez

Our team is delighted to award Alvin as student of the month for Team 7B, Rutgers. He is hardworking, always willing to go above and beyond on assignments, and arrives to class with a positive attitude. Alvin is a dependable, trustworthy, and humorous young man. He possesses great integrity at all times. Alvin consistently offers a helping hand to both students and teachers alike, is a positive role model for his surrounding peers, and you can always count on him to do the right thing whether someone is watching, or not. He never gives up when tasks get difficult and makes sure to ask for assistance when he needs to gain further understanding. Alvin always attends office hours to remain on top of his studies. His passion to learn is both admirable and commendable. Without a doubt, it is 7B’s honor to nominate Alvin for this award as he consistently strives for greatness. We can’t wait to see what the second half of the year has in store for Alvin at Franklin Middle School - HSC!

Estherlyne Sirleaf

Estherlyne is a wonderful student who demonstrates great respect towards both students and teachers in the building. Estherlyne strives to do her best in her classes, and is a great collaborator with her fellow classmates. She is always willing to participate in class and makes an extra effort to produce an excellent final product. Estherlyne is a model student on team 7B and is a pleasure to have in class -- a true representative of the Warrior Spirit at FMS.

Team 8A

Avinash Seegmul

Avi is an amazingly polite student who strives to work harder. He is a determined student who pushes himself in order to make himself a better overall students. He is constantly asking how he can assist and make the school a better place.

Wendy Membrano

Wendy has displayed a high level of respect, organization, and responsibility. Wendy is an amazing student who exhibits a high level of work and is always trying to improve herself. She challenges herself on a daily basis! She is consistently working to better herself and make herself a stronger student.

Team 8B

Jacob Cruz

Jakob Cruz is a Hardworking, respectful student! We always sets an example in class by trying his best. Jakob’s uplifting personality is consistent and appreciated by all. Jakob strives to grow academically. He does not shy away from a difficult assignment and asks usefully questions. He is a wonderful role model.

Gerald Austin (Victor)

It is an absolute pleasure to have Gerald in class. He is a motivated student, who is hardworking and extremely thorough with his assignments. He shows respect to his teachers and peers. Gerald is not afraid to ask questions when he needs assistance and he is always willing to help other students in the class. He is a role model. He always has a positive attitude and strives to be the best person that he can be.
