Here is a picture of my daughter and I last month when we went sea kayaking on Lake Superior. It is the greatest lake and one of my favorite bodies of water (second to the Kentucky River watershed).
About me:
I am a mother to two children, Eli who is in 11th grade and Lily who is in 9th grade and both are at Western Hills High School. We live on the other side of town which is why they go to school there.
My husband is Danny Peake, he works for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in Environmental Analysis.
I love to run with my morning running group, hike outdoors and birdwatch anywhere in the world. I enjoy being outside and walking around in forests and identifying birds by ear. I always have binoculars either around my neck or in my car or purse.
My favorite foods are apples, pretzels, and coffee.☕ I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin. I went to Colorado State University for a Fish and Wildlife Biology degree and came to Kentucky at EKU for my Master's in Biology (1999) and have worked in science and industry for the past 20 years. I completed my M.A. in Education from Georgetown College in December 2022.
The EMS Birding Club meets every Friday morning starting August All students and families/parents/other siblings are welcome to join! Meet in the back parking lot at school at 8 am.
