Bluegrass College Academy (BCA) students enroll full-time at BCTC during their Junior and Senior years of high school and complete the requirements for their high school diploma and an Associate in Arts or Science degree by the time they graduate high school.

All BCA students follow the same 61-credit hour curriculum with opportunities for peer support and learning both within and beyond the walls of the classroom.

BCA classes are offered between 9 am and 2 pm, Monday through Thursday, on the BCTC Lawrenceburg Campus. On Fridays, BCA Juniors participate in Learning, Leadership, and Learning (LLC) Programming. There are three key topics/themes for Fridays, covered on a rotational basis: Learning, Leadership, Career

Jumpstart Your College Career

•  By earning an associate’s degree from BCTC, you are considered Gen Ed Certified and will have already fulfilled all general education requirements for any Kentucky public university.

Save Time and Money

• Completing all your general education requirements while you are still in high school means thatyou could shorten the amount of time and money required to complete a 4-year degree by up to half. This could also allow you the time and freedom to pursue double majors, pre-professional requirements, and study abroad.

Support

•  BCA students get to experience the challenge of college-level coursework in a support environment. BCA students have access to BCTC resources such as tutoring, career exploration, and more.

• Must be enrolled in the program at the start of your 11th grade year

• Unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher

• Successful completion of: Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 by the end of a student's 10th grade school year
