The 2026-2027 FAFSA is now open! All seniors are strongly encouraged to complete the FAFSA at their earliest convenience in order to qualify for the maximum financial aid for which they are eligible.

We encourage all seniors to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible so that students can utilize the financial aid opportunities for which they are eligible. Also, Franklin County High School will host another Financial Aid Night on Tuesday, Oct. 21st at 6pm in the FCHS LIbrary. Students and families attending will get more information about ways to pay for college as well as be provided with the opportunity to create the FSA ID and ask questions relating to FAFSA and financial aid.

KEES Money- Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship
If you have a minimum GPA (Grade Point Average) of 2.5 or above, you can earn KEES money each year you are in high school. Bonus money is also awarded based on ACT scores. You could have the potential of earning up to $2500 for each year of college. Contact your guidance counselor if you have any further questions. Student can check KEES Scholarship earnings at myKHEAA
There is also a supplemental award for students eligible for Free/Reduced Lunch (during any year of high school) and make qualifying scores on an AP Exam.
