SAT:
Beginning in Spring 2026, all Juniors will take the SAT at FCHS for free; all Juniors at Kentucky public high schools will take the state-administration of the SAT. This SAT score can be used for college readiness, applying to colleges, & scholarships. Registration for this SAT is completed by the high school.
High school students can also choose to take the SAT on a national test date by registering at SAT Registration
PSAT/ NMSQT:
The PSAT/ NMSQT is offered at F.C.H.S. in October.
Students who are interested in applying for the Kentucky Governor's Scholar Program or who would like to enter the National Merit Scholarship Competition should take the PSAT during the 11th Grade
Taking the PSAT can also prepare students for the SAT; students who are in the 10th & 11th Grades may sign up for the PSAT/NMSQT in order to prepare for the SAT

ACT:
Any student wanting to take the ACT needs to register at myACT
All students who qualify for Free or Reduced lunch can receive up to 2 free fee waivers from the counseling office.
Kentucky Benchmarks for the ACT are English 18, Math 19, Reading 20
Check with your college or university regarding their requirements. Many colleges and universities are still test-optional however ACT scores are still used for college class placement, scholarships & other extracurricular activities.

September 6, 2025 (Regular Registration Aug. 1st, Late Registration Aug. 19th)
October 18, 2025 (Regular Registration Sept. 12th, Late Registration Sept. 30th)
December 13, 2025 (Regular Registration Nov. 7th, Late Registration Nov. 24th)
February 14, 2026 (Regular Registration Jan. 9th, Late Registration Jan. 23rd)
April 11, 2026 (Regular Registration Mar. 6th, Late Registration Mar. 24th)
June 13, 2026 (Regular Registration May 8th, Late Registration May 29th)
