Geography

At St Francis of Assisi Primary School, we value Geography. A high-quality geography education should inspire in pupils a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people. Our Geography curriculum aims to equip pupils with knowledge about diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments, together with a deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes. As our pupils progress, their growing knowledge about the world will help them to deepen their understanding of the interaction between physical and human processes, and of the formation and use of landscapes and environments and how these change over time. Our geography curriculum provides opportunities for children to explore challenges in the natural world and helps our children to understand their roles as global citizens and in protecting the future of our planet.
