The Community Development Department offers a Housing Rehabilitation Assistance Program to eligible households and individuals. The program assists low and moderate income homeowners in Framingham with emergency home refurbishments. To learn more, follow the links below.

Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT)
The RAFT program helps keep households in stable housing situations when facing eviction, loss of utilities, and other housing emergencies caused by loss of income, increase in expenses, or both. RAFT provides up to $7000 per household to help preserve current housing or move to new housing. RAFT can cover utilities, moving costs, and overdue rent costs, as well as future rent in limited situations. Click here for information on how to apply for RAFT.

MA Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) - The Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) assists and empowers low-income individuals and families to meet their basic needs, improve their quality of life, and achieve long term economic self-sufficiency. DTA serves one in eight residents of the Commonwealth with direct economic assistance (cash benefits) and food assistance (SNAP benefits), as well as workforce training opportunities.
