About Me

I grew up with my mom as a nurse and have loved the idea of being a nurse ever since I can remember. Caring for people is something that is so important to me and I always strive for being there for someone. Going into this capstone my goal was to be able to look further into nursing and expand my knowledge on it. While I have been interested in nursing my whole life, the last couple of years I have become very interested in looking at Pediatric Oncology specifically. Through this capstone I want to be able to specifically look at this field of nursing and further my knowledge and look more in depth at the aspects within this. Doing this would allow me to have a better background if I end up doing this as my career in the future. Also, my other overall goal for this capstone is looking at the role that nurses play in their patients' lives. I plan on being a nurse in the future and learning how nurses take care of their patients will really help me in my future endeavors.
