Meet Your School Counselor
You are assigned a counselor when you enter FHS. This person remains your counselor throughout your years at FHS. You and your parents will meet at least once a year for your annual meeting to review your academic progress, course selection, future plans, and your college or vocational applications. Your counselor is available to you during study halls, lunch or after school. You Can Book Me is the best way for students to make an appointment with their School Counselor.
Counselors are here to listen to concerns and talk about the possible ways to handle them. Usually there is more than one solution to a problem and a counselor can help you to gain a better understanding in order to make more educated decisions.
At the high school level we encourage you to be independent and to seek advice and information on your own. Counselors will support you if your attendance, and/or grades show a decline. Counselors can also be very helpful in dealing with personal and/ or family problems.
Counselors have PSAT, SAT, and ACT information, as well as vocational and scholarship resources. School Counselors are also responsible for sending transcripts and recommendations as a part of your college application. School Counselors will assist you in your application process.

conferences scheduled with all juniors to develop post-high school plans
