Teaching in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

Description:  In a world marked by the rapid integration of technology and artificial intelligence, the landscape of education is undergoing a profound transformation. This session is tailored to provide educators at all levels with an insightful exploration of the ways AI is reshaping education. Through a combination of engaging discussions and practical demonstrations, participants will gain an understanding of how artificial intelligence can be used to help students think critically and to differentiate for student needs.  Educators will also explore ways to make their professional tasks more efficient.  Ultimately we will navigate the many benefits and challenges that come with the evolution of AI.

AI for Educators:  MagicSchool Certification 

Date:  June 1 - July 31

Location:  asynchronous 

Grade Levels:  PreK - 3

Stipend: $25 an hour (1.5 hours)

Description:  MagicSchool is an artificial intelligence platform for teachers.  It focuses on the educational tasks to make things more efficient for teachers.  It also benefits students with relevant, engaging, and differentiated lessons that the teacher creates on the program.  This course is offered for educators who complete Level 1, 2, and 3 certification.  Completion of all three levels will take about 1.5 hours.  Click here for the direct link to the certification courses, BUT you must also register with the district using the link below.  To get the PD stipend, the certificates must be sent to Robin Greene by July 31st.

Get Back to Class in Style with CANVA! 

Date:  July 22nd

Time:  9:00-12:00

Stipend: $25 an hour (3 hours)  

Description:    Get your digital classroom space ready for a new school year with help from Canva. This PD session will show you the basics and some of the more advanced features (including new AI-integrated features!) of Canva.  We will learn how to make custom Google Classroom banners, e-mail "business card" signatures, how to make a welcome letter/infographic-style syllabus, interactive getting-to-know-you activities for your students, and more! You will leave this hands-on session ready to start your year!

Enhancing Educator Efficiency with Artificial Intelligence

Description:   In this engaging and collaborative workshop, we'll delve into the world of artificial intelligence, experimenting with various prompts tailored to specific grade levels and content areas to uncover the intriguing possibilities AI offers. Discover and explore AI tools and applications designed to bring back precious time to teaching and learning. Plus, collaborate with fellow educators to brainstorm policies and guidelines that harness AI's potential for educational excellence. Description:  Learn how to create complex forms using data validation and "go-to" section based on answers. Review how to add video, upload documents and personalize the confirmation message in the form. Explore how to manage the data in the form's sheets.

AI In Your Classroom - Make it work for YOU, too!

Stipend:  $25 an hour (2 hours)

Description:  AI is now a part of our world, but how can we use it to our advantage as educators to create meaningful lessons for our students?

Come to this session where several AI platforms such as Google Gemini and Suno a.i. will be discussed, and how we can best use them with students to enhance our students' work and not take the place of our students' work.  Participants will have hands-on experiences trying some of these for themselves and will leave with a lesson created that they can use with their students!
