CASA GORORDO MUSEUM
Casa Gorordo, built in the 19th century, was once home to the Gorordo family, including Cebu's first Filipino bishop. Now turned into a museum, it showcases how Cebuanos lived during the Spanish era through its furniture, design, and collections.
When I visited here I was amazed by its timeless beauty and peaceful ambiance. It felt like stepping into the past, seeing how life once was. That experience made me appreciate Cebu's culture and reminded me how important it is to remember where we came from.
NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE PHILIPPINES - CEBU
The National Museum of Cebu holds a wide collection of artifacts, artworks, and displays that tell the story of Cebu’s past. It preserves the culture and traditions that shaped the island’s identity through the years.
Walking through the museum made me realize how rich Cebu’s history truly is. I enjoyed learning about our ancestors and how their stories continue to influence us today. It made me more thankful for my roots and inspired me to value our culture even more.
FORT SAN PEDRO
Fort San Pedro is a small but important Spanish fort located in Cebu City, near the seaside at Plaza Independencia. It was built in 1565 by Spanish explorer Miguel López de Legazpi, making it the oldest fort in the Philippines.
Walking inside feels like entering a piece of history. You can see old cannons, pictures, and a small museum showing Cebu’s colonial past. I felt curious and amazed while exploring the fort. It made me realize how far Cebu has come, from a small settlement to a busy city, and how important it is to remember and protect our heritage.
