Hear Text Read Aloud
Enable Chromevox:
Hit the "ctrl," "alt," and the "Z" keys
Hover over text, menus, and areas of the screen for read aloud
Enable Select-to-speak:
Enable select-to-speak in Accessibility settings
Select the "search" key and click a line of text
What's the difference between each screen reader?:
Chromevox will read everything on the screen and give spatial clues to where the text is displaying. Select-to-speak reads selected portions of the screen aloud. Click here for more information.
Multitask/Split the Screen
View multiple windows at once:
On one of the windows you want to see, click and hold the "Maximize" key.
Drag to the left or right arrow.
Repeat for a second window.
Split the screen:
Drag one window to the far left side of the screen. Then drag another window to the far right side of the screen. Each window should snap into place and take up half of the screen.

Hold "ctrl" and the "Show Windows" keys

Hold "ctrl," "shift," and the "Show Windows" keys
What is the "Show Windows" Key?:
The "Show Windows" key is typically above the number "6" on your keyboard. It looks like a rectangle next to two parallel lines. The "Show Windows" key shows a preview of all the browser and application windows currently running on your Chromebook.

Use the Camera
Open the camera application:
Search "camera" in your Chromebook launcher
Open the app
Take a photo:
Tap the grey and white circle to snap a photo
How do I view the photo gallery?:
You can see a preview of your images below the shutter button. Click the preview to view the entire gallery of any images you've taken now or in the past.

Hit the "ctrl" and "+" keys
Zoom Out:
Hit the "ctrl" and "-" keys
How Can I Adjust My Screen Resolution?:
Click the timestamp in the bottom right-hand corner of your Chromebook. Then click the gear icon. Click "Device" in the right-hand menu, and then select "Display." Adjust your screen size from smaller or larger based on your preferences.

Enable Offline Mode on a Chromebook
Open Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides offline
Open Chrome. Make sure you're signed in to Chrome.
Check the box next to "Create, open, and edit your recent Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides files on this device while offline."
