Design Thinking is not about graphic design (although graphic designers often use the process). Design Thinking is a framework for creatively solving problems, originated by Stanford's d School. Traditionally, it is a five step process outlined below.

Apply the Design Thinking process to your own teaching problem of practice. You'll start with your own problem of practice that you can implement in your teaching. Once you are comfortable with the process, you can create learning experiences that have students use the Design Thinking process. You will not complete the entire process today, but you can certainly get started!
