Ahren Wagner is a 27-year teaching veteran and dedicated Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) educator. She has been married to her husband, Craig, for 22 years, and together they have three children: Addy, a junior at the University of Kentucky; Alaina, a junior at HHS; and Michael, a freshman at HHS. Ahren is a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences Education, and she holds a Master’s in Secondary FCS Education from Northern Kentucky University as well as a Rank 1 in FCS Education. At HHS, she teaches both the Fashion and Interior Design Career Pathway and the Early Childhood Education Pathway, serves as FCS Department Chair, and advises the FCCLA chapter.
Highlands FCS Teachers attended the 2025 Kentucky Association of Career and Technical Education conference this summer. Highlights of the conference included FCS updates, KATFCS brunch, career pathway sessions and networking the FCS teachers across the state.
