This is the beginning of my 8th year with the Fort Osage School District. Before coming to Fort, I taught in the Raytown school district. Teaching was not my first career. I began my professional life working for Cerner Corporation. I knew that was not my passion, but teaching was! I took a leap of faith that pays for itself daily in my work as a high school teacher!
I am a Kansas City native. I attended elementary school in the Hickman Mills school district and moved to Grain Valley to finish my k-12 education. After graduating high school I attended the University of Missouri - Columbia where I earned my Bachelors' degree. I later received my Master's degree from the University of Central Missouri.
I am a die hard Kansas City Chiefs fan! I love to cheer on our very own Fort Osage Indians as well!
I am the mother to two beautiful, funny little humans. Being their mama is my greatest joy in this life. I am also happily married to someone much, much taller than I am. I am so blessed to never worry about being able to reach the top shelf. We also have two large fur kids, Leela and Cobey. My family is my everything.
Last, but certainly not least I am the FOHS chapter advisor for FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). We are a small organization always looking for new members to join and develop great professional skills to help you land those dream jobs after high school.
