Mrs. Julie Ammons

I am a veteran educator who believes in real-world learning experiences and seeks ways to expose my students to any opportunity that will benefit them in the future.  I pride myself in initiating authentic teacher-student relationships, building a safe environment where students are allowed to make mistakes because that's how one grows, sharing my love for life and all that comes with it,  helping students create beautiful music, and watching kids develop into independent musicians that don't "need" me by their senior year.  

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education (Vocal emphasis) from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University. I also received my certification as a Kindermusik educator.

I enjoy being involved in the following extra curricular activities: Musical Music Director, Girls Tennis Assistant Coach, Guitar Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes Sponsor, and Private Instructor for Voice and Beginning Piano.
