Sculpture 1 & 2

Attendance-This is designed to be a no homework class, Attendance is important to maintain timelines and have access to studio resources. If you miss class, you will need to schedule time outside of class, either after school during designated Studio Lab sessions, Advisory, or on your own at home. 

Assignment Expectations-Students are graded based on their own skill level and demonstrating improvement and understanding of design concepts and project criteria.  The only way you can fail an art class is missing and incomplete work. Students are encouraged to revise and complete missing and incomplete work to demonstrate their understanding of curriculum requirements to be regraded on Quarterly Benchmark Portfolios. 

Late work policy-Work will be graded on the due date and receive a partial grade for work completed to date. Student then has until the Quarter and Final Benchmark Portfolio due dates to complete and submit for a regrade. This will included updated photos of the work and artist statements. Sketchbook and practice exercises are graded weekly and will not be regraded for credit unless the student is absent on the due date, or has arranged an extension date because of  multiple excused absences due to illness or circumstances out of their control.

I  will provide support and work opportunities outside of class after school and during Advisory. Look at the Week at a Glance in google classroom for posted available times or ask if you are needing to schedule a time.

Your class fees will provide you with all materials required for each project. You are more than welcome to bring your own additional materials if you so desire.
