Create a Classroom for each period
Change the Settings in each class:
Under Class Details | Section should include: Period 1, Period 2, Period 3...
Under General | Classroom on the stream should be set to: Hide Notifications
Under General | Meet should be set to: Visible to students
Under Grading | Overall grade calculations should be set to: TBA

Enable the Google Meet Link in each class (in settings)
Start a Google Meet with the Class Meeting Link in the class header--use this link for all Meets associated with the Classroom
K-1 Teachers will create a Google Classroom and turn on the Meet link-don't add students or assignments. You won't use this Classroom for anything but the Meet link.
Share the Meet link from this class through parent communications, Seesaw, or add it to your Clever teacher page. Students call also bookmark this link in Chrome.
Use this link for all Meets associated with your class.
Mute Participants (Google has announced that the ability to mute all participants will be coming soon.)
Remove Participants
Use a iPevo document camera and the iPevo Visualizer App within a Meet (screen share)
Share links in the chat
Use the chat when troubleshooting audio issues (when a microphone is not working)
Be the last to leave the Meet
Students can stay in the meeting if the teacher leaves first.
Students can not enter a meeting unless a teacher opens the meeting.
New Meet features will be added soon that will enable the moderator to remove everyone else from the meeting
Use only this link for classroom meetings-even small groups to avoid confusion and students waiting for the wrong Meet to open
You can share the meeting link with other teachers who want to join
You can post office hours and leave the meeting open for students to join
Record a Meet to create instructional videos
Pre-recording is suggested for quality control (Teacher is the only person in the Meet)
Recording with students in the Meet will capture student video/audio as well as teacher video and presents privacy concerns
Share your desktop or tab within a recording
You can share your desktop and use the Ipevo Visualizer App and Ipevo doc cam within a recording
Access the recordings within the "Meet Recordings" folder in Google Drive
Rename the recordings
Organize the recordings into subfolders
Share the recording folders with specific students (share folders rather than individual recordings)

Begin each Classwork post with a number that will communicate to students the sequential list of steps for that week or unit
Click the three dots to the right of the Classwork post to move them up or down to keep them in numerical order
