After School Activities-FAQ 

1. How do I register my child? Registration will take place on School Pay .  When you log in, the activities for your child’s grade level will be listed. Activities that have reached capacity will say “Sold out”. 

2. What is the difference between the Try-out Activities and after-school activities? Try-out activities are not available via school pay on registration day. Please click the link in the description for each activity for specific details. 


After-school activities are open to all students in certain grades. Spots are limited and reserved when payment is made via online registration process. Please know that activities fill up quickly, and the system does not allow for “Cart holds”.  The first person to fully complete registration will have the spot. 


4. What if I do not return the written permission form prior to the first club?  Your child will not be able to participate in the activity without the signed FCS permission form. 


5. What if my child wants to join more than one activity that meets on the same day? Please look at the meeting dates for each activity.  If meeting times overlap, then your child will have to pick one activity to join.  Please check the meeting dates because there are several activities/that meet on the same days.  Refunds will not be given.

6. What if my child misses a session? Will there be a make-up or a refund? If your child misses a session, we will not be able to offer a make-up or a refund/credit. 

7.  Is there a fee?  Yes, every activity and team has a fee.  Fees cover the cost of instructors, supplies for the class, and a T-shirt for each student.  All excess funds are put back into the school to help fund technology and instructional materials for teachers.


8.  Do I need to notify my child's teacher? Yes!  Please make sure that you fill out a change of transportation so that your Childs teacher knows they have permission to stay after school for the activity.  Also, please make sure to notify the after school activity sponsor if your child will be going to Viking  Village after their meeting or will be picked up at dismissal.


9.  What if my child goes to Viking Village?  If your child is enrolled in Viking Village, they will go there at dismissal as usual. From Viking Village, they will be dismissed to their activity. After the activity ends, they will return to Viking Village.  Please note: No credit will be issued for the time your child is away from Viking Village participating in the activity.


10.  What if my child misses school during the day? Your child must be present at least 50% of the day in order to participate in after-school activities.  If they are sent home with a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea, then they must be free of symptoms for 24 hours.
