This Is Us

Vickery Creek Elementary school opened in 1997 with Mr. Mike Rosano as its first principal. Vickery Creek is named after a Cherokee woman named Sharlot Vickery that lived in present-day Roswell and owned much of the land around the creek. In 2012, VCE became a Leader In Me, embracing the framework of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. As that work continued and grew, in 2018 VCE received the distiction of becoming a Lighthouse School. Just this past February, we received our Recertification and are now on our way to becoming the first Leader In Me Legacy School in the state of Georgia.
