May 15th, 2026 - Volume 19
Dear Viking Families,
What an exciting week it has been! I hope you were able to enjoy lunch either today or last Friday. It was beautiful to see you all gathered in our Butterfly Garden, together. From field days to class parties to our Class of 2026 Senior Walk on Monday to our 5th Grade Luke Becker Championship Kickball Tournament this morning, it has been a week to remember. I'm so proud of our students and our staff and you! The flexibility, patience, and grace needed to plan, organize, and then deliver all of these events takes the work of all involved. Thank you.
Next week wraps up the 25-26 school year. Please look over important information in this newsletter regarding retirements and some changes as well as information about next year. Our summer Voice will come out in mid July with dates and infomration for the 26-27 school year.
Tomorrow my oldest will graduate from high school. It is truly remarkable to me how quickly the years have passed. My gratitude for FCS schools, the community I get to call home, and the place I get to go every day simply grows as I watch and get to support her as she gets ready to fly. My hope is we provide that same experience for each of our students and each of our families.
I wish you all a beautiful weekend and can't wait to see your children next week.
Together we Lead, Together we Rise.
Elizabeth Ihle
Principal

We are excited to share a preview of our schoolwide behavior expectations that will be implemented at VCE for the 2026-2027 school year. After gathering feedback from teachers, students, and parents, we have developed a shared set of expectations, in alignment with our Leader in Me habits and utilizing the PBIS framework, to support all of our leaders in common areas throughout the school. We are excited to encourage all of our Vikings to be Responsible, Respectful, and Ready to Lead!
If you are interested in any of the elected positions we will have available next year (Chair and Vice Chair), please send me a short bio highlighting your connection to VCE and your interest in one of these positions. Begininng next school year, we will hold an election to fill the positions. Send your bio to Elizabeth Ihle at eihle@forsyth.k12.ga.us.
Yearbooks are here! Students will get their yearbooks next week and will have time to sign at school per their teacher's guidance.
