The Lakeside Bands serves 412 students in grade levels 6-8. The program is led by Mr. Reggie Humphrey and Mr. Jaron Lehman

The Lakeside Middle School Bands consistently earn Superior ratings at the GMEA District 9 Large Group Performance Evaluation and various festivals. With an active chamber music program, a large percentage of students successfully participate in the GMEA District 9 Solo and Ensemble Festival and provide a significant presence in the District 9 Middle School Honor Bands and GMEA All-State Bands. 

Since 2019, the Lakeside Band program has grown from 231 to 412 members and was awarded the 2020-2021 Georgia Music Educators Association Exemplary Performance Award, which is the highest honor award for band programs from GMEA.

Our motto, "excellence in all we do" is cultivated throughout our program by encouraging inclusion, mindful risk-taking, and maintaining a growth mindset.

Students have opportunities to explore numerous performance outlets, such as 6th-Grade Beginning Band, 6th-Grade Advance Band, Concert Bands, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and multiple Chamber Ensembles. If interested in viewing more on our program please click the link HERE
