ART Lakeside Middle School

Art is a nine-week course offered to six, and seventh grade students. This course is designed to

provide experiences with the elements and principles of art, primarily through problem solving and studio approach. Areas of concentration are in drawing and design, in the both the two and three-dimensional realm. Art students explore a variety of in-depth, short drawing and design experiments aimed at developing an understanding of the Elements and Principles of Art. The students also, examine related art periods and styles for a historical background of studio work to accentuate the relevance of the visual arts in today's society.
