Purpose and Objectives:

The purpose of the Internship Forsyth (WBL) Advisory Board is to cultivate student success by building strong business partnerships which provide high-quality, real-world learning experiences. The Advisory Board provides guidance and recommends activities to strengthen partnerships and increase internship opportunities for students.  

The specific objectives of the Advisory Board are to: 

• Assist students with school-to-postsecondary education/career transition 

• Help develop critical workforce competencies and employability skills 

• Increase the number of youths preparing to enter skilled occupations 

• Improve employers’ access to qualified young people  

• Enhance the existing internship program 

• Provide internship opportunities aligned with students’ career goals
