Students must have been or are currently enrolled in an Advanced Placement (AP) class
Students must be comfortable speaking in front of and leading large audiences of their peers, parents, and educators
Students must be willing to be representative leaders of their school, and promote Advanced Placement programs at Denmark HS and beyond
Students must have been nominated by AP teachers from year's prior (students will be notified at the beginning of the school year if they have been nominated)
1) Students are nominated by AP teachers
2) Students receive notification of their nomination along with nominee session details
3) Students attend nominee information session (Dane Time session)
4) Students must complete the application and turn it into Mrs. Schneider/ Mrs. Hartshorn by specified date said at the nominee session
5) Potential screening interview
6) Everyone who applied will be notified through your school Outlook email when results are made available
Frequently attend AP Ambassador weekly meetings (during Dane Time)
Recruit and promote AP course registration
Attend, organize, participate, and promote AP Ambassador-hosted events (AP Night, Pathway Night, New Teacher Induction, Spring Fling, new-student sessions, school tours)
Goal setting with AP students
AP Recognition & Celebration
AP Campaigns
Embrace leadership both inside and outside the classroom
Establish an AP Culture of excellence
AP Ambassador Application for the 2025-2026 School Year will be available at the nominee meeting.
