Quick Notes
These problems are usually calculator questions, and typically you will have either polar or parametric as #2 on the BC exam.
For these questions, you may be given a region bounded by one curve or two curves.
The most challenging part of these problems is determining the bounds of integration when necessary.
You may be asked to find the area bounded by polar curve(s) - remember 1/2r^2!
You likely will not need to convert between polar and rectangular/parametric, but those relationships are useful in determining specific polar derivatives.
Make sure you know the difference between the different derivatives and what information you can get from each. Slope is still dy/dx.
Be prepared to analyze the polar function using those derivatives.
