Meet the Teacher -- Mrs Adams
Welcome to a fun adventure in piano!! I am so excited that your child will be joining us this year through the AAFAA program at Blackburn Elementary. Learning a new instrument is fun, enjoyable, and helps to bring confidence for the child. This confidence is very useful as it spreads to all other classes of their education. I graduated in 2001 from Hardin - Simmons University with a bachelor of music degree. During my 25 years of teaching I have had the privilege of teaching elementary music, middle and high school band, and private instruction on clarinet and piano. Before coming to Blackburn Elementary when the AAFAA program began in 2020, I successfully owned and ran my own private music studio for 16 years. It is so rewarding to see children experience the joy that creating music can bring. My goal for your child is to create a fun and exciting environment that encourages creativity and achievement on the piano.
