What time do the doors open to the public?
The lobby is open 30 minutes prior to showtime.
The theatre will open 15 minutes prior to showtime.
If I am volunteering backstage for the recital, what time do I have to be there?
15 min before student call times

How do I get my tickets? Order through TutTix
Are my recital tickets good for all performances?
No, because seating is reserved for each performance, you will not be able to interchange your tickets.
DRESS REHEARSAL
Is the dress rehearsal mandatory? December 8th-13th @ Studio D 7511 W Belmont Ave
Yes, the dress rehearsal IS mandatory. Rehearsal and performance are both incredible lessons in teamwork for students. Their collaboration in rehearsal is key to achieving maximum results on stage. This is to assess any costume issues.
Costume and hair are mandatory for the dress rehearsal, including proper undergarments/leo/tights.
COSTUME ***NEW***
Do I get to keep the costume(s)?
NO - Costumes(s) must be returned during classes Dec 15th - Dec 20th anytime between 4 PM - 9 PM Mon- Thurs, and Sat 8 AM - 1 PM. If not returned by January 14th, a charge of $100 per costume will be charged for missing items, as per your signed agreement.
PHOTOS AND VIDEOS
Can I video tape the performance and/or take pictures?
No. For your convenience, will be recording the performances, as well as taking candid
photographs of the performance. For the safety of our dancers on stage, all audience members are required to be seated for the duration of the performance. Please note that the same rules apply to taking pictures.
BACKSTAGE
Does my child stay backstage for the whole performances?
Yes, all students are to stay backstage for the duration of the performances. Additionally, we will have plenty of things to occupy the dancers with backstage as they wait for their turn on stage. Please do not try to take your children during the performance; this will create unnecessary backstage chaos, as the staff and backstage parent helpers will be given strict instructions to not release any child from their care. Please review Drop-off and pick-up procedures.
Should I feed my dancer before the performances?
Yes, you should feed your dancer before they arrive at the auditorium. Please do not let them eat with their costume on!!!
COSTUMES, HAIR, MAKE-UP
What should I label for the performance?
Shoes, tights! If you have more than one costume, please keep it in a bag with your name labeled on the bag.
How should my dancer wear her hair for the dress rehearsal and performance?
All dancers hair should be slicked back in a very tight bun with a hair net and A LOT of
hairspray. This will ensure that dancers hair will not hinder their performance and will be secure throughout the recital.
If my young daughter has bangs, does she need to slick them back?
No, if your dancer has bangs (across her forehead), they do not need to be slicked back. YES IF, they are longer than her eyebrows.
What exactly is stage makeup and why does my dancer need to wear it?
Stage lighting can be very bright and harsh and often times washes out the dancers facial features. It is important to highlight those features to allow you dancer to truly perform!
