The Fordham Philosophers' Society releases a student-ran philosophy-inspired publication annually. Every publication is a zine, a small circulation, an independently published work that our publication committee group makes. You'll notice that each publication ends with the phrase "phage", referring to the Latin suffix meaning 'eater' or 'devourer of'.
Mediaphage - 2025
The latest installation of the Fordham Philosophers' Society's publication is "Mediaphage", stemming from prefix "Media-", an intervening agency, means, or instrument. Released May 1st, 2025
Xenophage - 2024
"Xenophage" focused on the concept of the "Xeno-" signifying: other. Works in this publication primarily explore non-human themes such as AI, technology, nature, and societal feelings of "otherment". Released May 3rd, 2024
Ontophage - 2023
"Ontophage" was our first zine, exploring the "Onto-", a prefix meaning 'reality' or having to do with existing. Released April 21, 2023.
