Founded in 2014, the Fordham Philosophers' Society has been focused on providing a space free from the constraints of professors, grades, and attendance policies where people from various backgrounds can voice their opinions, experiences, and feelings surrounding philosophical topics. Mainly located on Fordham's Rose Hill campus, anyone can join our weekly discussions in Freeman Hall Room 105 from 5 - 6 PM every Friday.
As a philosophical club, our focus deviates from the normal philosophical canon and syllabi. By turning our attention to the voices that are often drowned out, we make sure to cultivate a space free from judgment and full of respect for everyone.
This website is meant to serve as an informational hub and a repository for links. Sign up for presentations, interact with our previous and current zine publications, and view our presentation schedule. Don't forget to engage with our active social pages such as Instagram and Discord.
Our 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 zines, ONTOPHAGE, XENOPHAGE, MEDIAPHAGE, and SUBTERPHAGE can be read in our publications tab.
Stay posted for next year's publication!
Every Friday, we meet at 5 PM in Freeman Hall. Each week, a different student presents on a philosophy-related topic. Topics that students pick cover a broad range of serious and silly. If you want to present, reach out to us, or fill out the form on our events tab.
