Here are some other Fordham Resources that can be helpful!
Knack tutoring
Through Fordham's partnership with Knack Tutoring, students can get free tutoring from students who have previously passed the course with a B or above. You can also sign up to be a tutor, which is paid and helps reinforce topics that you may need for the MCAT or for other courses.
Jogues SILC (STEM integrated learning community)
Through Fordham Residential Life, the first year dorm Jogues Hall offers in house tutoring for STEM courses, as well as programming for the residents in the building related to STEM academics. More information about living in Jogues can be found here.
Departmental tutoring
The biology, chemistry, and physics department all contain student tutoring for those in need of help understanding material for a course. See department website pages to find contact information for the department heads of each department.
Writing Center
The writing center, located in Walsh Library, is staffed by graduate students who are qualified to assist undergraduates at any point in the writing process. This can be helpful for essays for class, or for essays needed for applications to medical school. You can make an appointment for the writing center here.
Counseling and Psychological Services
The counseling and psychological services at Fordham is an on campus mental health service within the Division of Student Affairs at Fordham University. They promote and support students' mental health, psychological and emotional help and well being through a range of free and confidential direct clinical services. View their website page here for more information.
Fordham Health Center
The Health Center is an on campus resource to receive medical care. View there websites here for more information.
This is also a good opportunity for a health related on campus job, as the check in desk is staffed by students.
